Lisa LeBlanc, RDH
Hi! I’m Lisa and I live in Merit, Texas with my husband and 2 sons. I also have a daughter that attends Texas Tech University. I graduated from hygiene school in 1991 from Texas Woman’s University in Denton and have lived in this area ever since. Before settling in Texas, I was raised in a large military family, moving around the United States. So I am what you call a Navy Brat. I grew up an athlete, starting out with gymnastics for 10 years then ending with a diving scholarship to a small school in San Luis Obispo, California. Later that drive for perfection and excellence was channeled towards dentistry and helping people obtain optimal dental health.
Christa Weldon, RDH
I joined Thompson Dental in 2015 as a hygienist after escaping the freezing temps of Minnesota for 14 years. I love making dental visits enjoyable and fun for my patients, especially those who once dreaded dentistry altogether. It’s wonderful to be able to work alongside such a dedicated and caring staff who genuinely cares about each patient, both inside and outside the dental office. In my free time, you might find me in the stands cheering at my son’s (age 15) lacrosse or my daughter’s (age 12) volleyball games. I was lucky enough to have found the love of my life in high school, so after 19 years of marriage, we typically spend much of our time indulging in various restaurants and Texas BBQ (and elevating our cholesterol), binge watching yet another Netflix series, and soaking up the sun by the pool (with SPF 100 of course…remember we’re from Minnesota). My family and I are thrilled to call McKinney our home.
Cindy Andrade, RDA
Hi, my name is Cindy, and I am a dental assistant at Thompson Dental. I have worked in the dental field for the past 6 years. What I enjoy and love the most about my job is being able to help give patients the smile they have always dreamed of having. I’m originally from Houston, TX, born and raised, but currently live in Anna, TX with my fiancé, Joey, and our beautiful twin girls, Haley and Hayden. I’m very family oriented and love to spend as much time as I can with family and friends.
Jordan Wick, New Patient, Hygiene, and Marketing Coordinator
Being a native of Duluth, Minnesota, transitioning to Texas in the summer of 2013 allowed me to bring my unique spunk to Texas. Upon graduating from the University of St. Thomas with a bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, I knew I wanted to expand my horizon. Leaving all my family back in Minnesota and planting my seed in North Texas, I have grown in ways I could never have imagined. Shortly after moving to Texas, I became a Big Sister with Big Sisters of America, where I have undying love to help today’s youth.
Before entering the dental industry in the summer of 2016, I worked in retail management for 8 years. Today I am most thankful for my leadership experience I gained throughout my retail career and how it collaborates with my new-found love of dentistry. My passion for people is real and everlasting. I live by the golden rule “Treat others as you want to be treated”. I thoroughly enjoy the continuous learning in the dental field and strive to continue to grow personally and professionally.
The best part of me is I am always ME! I love to go camping and go to ATV off-road parks. I grew up spending my summers at the lake and spent my winters riding snowmobiles with family. A fun tidbit about me that surprises people is that I used to race motocross while wearing red lipstick!
